The New Jersey Academy for Aquatic Sciences offers electronic field trips via two-way videoconferencing technology! Our 30 minute programs are aligned with New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards and National Science Benchmarks.

Shrimp TV

David Letterman may be a late-night favorite, but he's no Tinker the Turtle! Join our playful puppet Tinker and his live aquarium friends as he helps your "small fries" learn about habitats and adaptations in a fun, interactive way. Live animals and loads of fun all wrapped up in one cool shell! Nothing brings the aquatic world directly to your classroom quite like this!

Sharks!
Grades 3-6

Take a close look at toothy shark jaws, learn different shark facts and fiction, and get all of your shark questions answered! Dive into the world of these fabulous fish and you'll soon find yourself going silly for sharks!

The world is full of a diversity of habitats, each requiring special adaptations for survival. From the sticky tube feet of the sea star, to the terrific tail of the horseshoe crab, join us in discovering some amazing adaptations of the animal world!

Marine Science Careers
Grades 7-12

Have you ever thought about a career in marine science? Take a look at the different occupations that can be found in an aquarium, including aquarist, marine science educator, penguin keeper, marine mammal trainer, veterinary technician or SCUBA diver.
